Bahwan CyberTek, a leading global provider of innovative software products and services, organized a one-day Blood Donation Camp to fulfill its commitment towards society through this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative. The camp was conducted in association with Madras Voluntary Blood Bureau and VHS. Volunteers from the Interact Club of Sri Shankara Vidyashram helped conduct the camp.
BCT regularly conducts blood donation camps starting from the year 2009. This year the camp saw large-scale of participation by BCT associates and also associates from other companies in the BCT IT Park - Scope International, Drive stream India Pvt. Ltd and Identive technologies. Totally 124 associates donated blood and they received appreciation certificates from Rotary Central – TTK – VHS Blood Bank. The organizers were happy to be a part of this camp and said it was heartening to see that there were so many people who can donate blood and it was it is just a matter of motivation and facilitating them with a chance to do so.
The blood donation campaign is a part of BCT’s CSR initiative which it hopes will go to enrich the lives of the people and society at large. Mr. Mike Muralidharan, COO of Bahwan CyberTek said “I’m extremely happy to see the associates’ willingness to come forward and participate in this blood donation camp. While this is a small step in our CSR Measures, we plan to come up with more initiatives that will bring about betterment in the lives of people. We are privileged to contribute to the MMVB – VHS Blood Bank which has adopted Hemophilia (around 2000 children) and Thalassemia (around 190 children and patients) for Transfusion and Care. It is important to ensure an uninterrupted supply of blood to this bank even during lean periods to save these critically ill.”
