Ramajayam case on the right track, say cops
Five months have passed since Trichy DMK strongman K N Nehru's brother, K N Ramajayam was murdered on March 29 by a gang leaving behind a trail of mystery. The case file was transferred from the general police to the CB-CID on June 21. Trichy police commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav has now exuded confidence saying "we have come closer to solving the case." However, police have not stumbled upon any vital clues, except that they have got a dozen phone numbers.
After it was transferred to CB-CID, a team of 12 inspectors started the investigation from scratch, with the help of the 1500-page report handed over to it by Yadav. "Whatever was the motive and whoever was behind it, we would stop at nothing to crack the case," said Yadav. After 150 days of investigation, the crime branch on Wednesday claimed it was inching towards cracking the case.
It has once again been ratified after analyzing data that Ramajayam was kidnapped only in the early hours of the day.
