The world famous Central Cottage Industries Emporium, popularly known as “Cottage” is India’s window to the world for authentic Indian handloom and handicraft products. It is a Government of India undertaking under Ministry of Textiles. Central Cottage Industries Emporium or ‘COTTAGE’ has grown in its stature
from being a showroom to display handicrafts and handloom products to be the trend-setter for design, production, packaging, and marketing of Indian handicraft and handloom products.
"COTTAGE" retails Authentic Indian Handlooms and Handicrafts through its showrooms in M.G.Road & HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Chennai and Varanasi, with its Head office at New Delhi. The products are being sourced from weavers, master weavers, artisans, craft persons and master craftsmen and National Awardees, Shilp Gurus and clusters.
In an endeavour to promote the Indian handlooms in celebration of festive season of Christmas and New Year, "Cottage" is organizing "COTTAGE UTSAV" - an Exhibition-cum-sale of exquisite collection of Handlooms finely woven from the length and breadth of India. Cottage Utsav inaugurated by beautiful and gracious Model & Actress, Ms. ITI ACHARYA, White Houzz, HSR Layout Bengaluru.
The collection encompasses finest range of hand-woven sarees like Chanderi, Kota, Bengal Cotton, Maheshwari, Tie & Dye, Printed Cottons, Andhra/Orissa Ikat, Kantha, Kalamkari, Block prints and much more. Since the exhibition showcases the rich multifaceted handloom products.
