India Condemns Pakistan Over Kabul Hospital Strike
India on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) strongly condemned the reported airstrikes by Pakistan on the Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Indian government called the attack a “cowardly and unconscionable act of violence.”
In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said the strike, which took place on Monday night (March 16), led to the deaths of many civilians. The statement stressed that the hospital was a civilian facility and could not be considered a military target under any circumstances.
India also accused Pakistan of trying to justify the attack by presenting it as a military operation. According to the statement, this was an attempt to “cover up” what it described as a massacre of innocent people.
The government expressed deep concern over the loss of lives and said such actions are unacceptable. It also called for accountability and urged that those responsible for the attack should be held answerable.
The incident has increased tensions in the region, with strong reactions coming from different sides. As the situation develops, more details are expected to emerge about what exactly happened and who is responsible.
