Mafatlal Industries Secures INR ~114 Cr Order from OCAC to Set Up 500 Robotics Labs in Odisha
Mafatlal Industries Limited, a legacy player in the Indian textile industry, has secured an order valued at approximately INR 114 crore from the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), to be executed over a period of five years.
OCAC, the designated Technical Directorate of the Electronics C Information Technology Department, Government of Odisha, has evolved into a center of excellence in training, IT solutions, and e-governance.
Under this mandate, Mafatlal Industries will set up 500 robotic laboratories across 16 districts in Odisha under the School and Mass Education Department. As part of the five- year engagement, the Company will establish state-of-the-art robotics labs and deliver training and education services to ensure effective implementation and strong learning outcomes.
The initiative aims to foster STEM education among school students and promote experiential learning through hands-on robotics training.
This collaboration with the Government of Odisha marks one of the largest robotics education projects in India and reinforces Mafatlal’s commitment to advancing technology- enabled education and nurturing future innovators. The mandate also strengthens the Company’s strategic focus on expanding its digital infrastructure segment.
