SRM IST Directorate of Sports conducted India’s First Ever All India Ranking Swimming Meet
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), The Directorate of Sports, successfully conducted the Fifth Month of India’s First-Ever All India Ranking Swimming Meet on 14th February 2026 at the Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar Aquatic Complex. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 450 swimmers from various states, including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and several other regions of India. This ranking meet will be conducted on the second Saturday of every month, aiming to enhance competitive spirit and help swimmers maintain peak performance. Overall winners will receive cash prizes, medals, and trophies at the end of ten months. The initiative reflects our Founder Chancellor’s vision of providing world-class aquatic facilities and nurturing Olympic-level talent from Tamil Nadu. A special event was also organized for special children, where 20 swimmers competed in the 50m Freestyle, showcasing their enthusiasm and earning medals in various categories.
