TN govt decides to operate only AC buses

The Tamil Nadu government has decided that all future state-run buses will be air-conditioned, according to Transport Minister Vijay Tamilan Parthiban.

Sharing Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s directive, the minister said every new bus purchased for the state’s transport fleet will be equipped with AC, aiming to provide passengers with a more comfortable travel experience.

Parthiban added that the Chief Minister envisions air-conditioned bus travel becoming the standard for people across Tamil Nadu.

He also highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening public transport by expanding bus connectivity to remote and underserved areas across the state.
