Founder’s Birthday Trophy 2026 – Inter-School Invitation Tournament Organized by Directorate of Sports, SRMIST, Acharapakkam Campu
The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Acharapakkam Campus, is organising the Founder’s Birthday Trophy 2026 – Inter-School Invitation Tournament from 1st to 24th August 2026 at the SRMIST Acharapakkam Campus, “as part of the celebrations in honour of the birthday of Founder Chancellor Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar.”
The tournament is being organised to provide school students with a platform to demonstrate their sporting talent, gain valuable competitive exposure and develop teamwork, discipline, leadership and sportsmanship. It also highlights the commitment of SRMIST and its Directorate of Sports towards encouraging young athletes and strengthening the sporting culture among school students.
The tournament will feature Basketball (Boys & Girls) from 16th to 19th August 2026, Volleyball (Girls) from 16th to 18th August 2026, and Football (Boys) from 16th to 18th August 2026 at the SRMIST Acharapakkam Campus.
The tournament carries a total cash prize worth ₹5 lakhs, along with the prestigious Founder’s Birthday Trophy, providing further motivation and recognition to emerging school-level sportspersons.
