Rajinikanth responds to criticism: “Whatever I say becomes an issue”
Superstar Rajinikanth addressed ongoing criticism and online trolling during an event held to unveil the title of his upcoming film Dharman, which also featured Kamal Haasan and director Ashwath Marimuthu.
Speaking at the event, the veteran actor remarked that he often feels reluctant to speak publicly because both his comments and his silence tend to attract criticism.
Rajinikanth humorously noted that if he remains quiet, people question why he is not speaking, while if he shares his views, others ask why he chose to comment.
Reflecting on his decades in public life, he said he has learned that critics are unlikely to change their opinions regardless of his actions, while supporters may not always agree with everything he says.
His remarks come after controversy surrounding comments he made earlier regarding Tamil Nadu politics and Chief Minister Vijay. Rajinikanth had previously attempted to dismiss speculation that he was unhappy with Vijay’s political success, but the clarification itself sparked further debate.
At the event, the superstar stressed the importance of exercising caution while speaking publicly, given the intense scrutiny faced by public figures
