As part of the ongoing election expenditure monitoring and enforcement activities, the Election Commission on Wednesday reported significant seizures across categories.
The cumulative value of seizure as of March 18 (starting from March 16) stands at ₹42.65 crore, the EC said, noting that it includes cash of ₹2.37 crore, ₹0.18 crore in the form of liquor, and drugs and narcotics worth around ₹2.88 crore.
Further, the commission as part of its drive has also seized precious metals of ₹16.42 crore, and other items of around ₹20.8 crore.
