SRMIST to Host Founder's Birthday Trophy 2026
The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), is proud to announce the Founder’s Birthday Trophy 2026 – Inter Collegiate Invitation Tournament, a prestigious sporting event being conducted from 1st to 24th August 2026 across various SRM campuses. The tournament is organized in celebration of the birthday of the Founder Chancellor, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, while promoting sporting excellence, healthy competition, and camaraderie among college students from across the country.
The Founder’s Birthday Trophy has become one of the most anticipated intercollegiate sporting events hosted by SRMIST, attracting talented athletes from leading educational institutions. Through this tournament, SRMIST continues its commitment to nurturing young sporting talent by providing world-class infrastructure, professional organization, and a competitive platform for student-athletes to showcase their abilities.
The first phase of the tournament, scheduled from 6th to 8th August 2026 at the SRM Acharapakkam Campus, will feature Kabaddi (Men & Women), Ball Badminton (Men), and Ball Badminton (Women) competitions.
A total cash prize of ₹5 lakhs has been announced for the tournament, making it one of the most rewarding intercollegiate sports competitions in the region. The tournament aims to encourage participation, recognize outstanding performances, and inspire young athletes to pursue excellence in sports.
