Pegasystems hosts SHE Team, Hyderabad to spread awareness on “Women Safety Practices & Self-Defence Techniques”
Pegasystems, a global software product company with significant development operations in Mindspace, Hyderabad, conducted an “Awareness, Alertness and Safety” session, focused at its female employees, as part of its “Women@Pega” initiative. The session saw the presence of Ms. C. Anasuya, DCP, Women & Child Safety Wing, Cyberabad Police (Head of SHE Team), Hyderabad, and Ms. Shalini, Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) Women's Forum Member. Attended by both women and men, the session also included self-defence trainers who apprised the employees on using simple techniques to manage situations that could be harassing in nature or which come under intrusion of a woman’s freedom and rights.

Employees went back well aware of the protection offered by the law and became better equipped with knowledge on countering unfavourable situations in the future. The SHE team promised to return with a full-fledged training session that would elaborate on basic defense techniques shared during the sessions.
