SRM2nd International FIDE Rating Open Chess Tournament 2026-Inaguration

The SRM 2nd International FIDE Rating Open Chess Tournament 2026 will be held from April 30 to May 3, 2026, at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Organized by Golden Knights Chess Academy and Master Mind Chess Academy in association with the Directorate of Sports, SRM IST, the event is conducted under the aegis of Chengalpattu District Chess Association, Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, and All India Chess Federation.

With over 1,000 participants expected, the tournament promises high-level competition and international exposure. The inauguration ceremony will take place on April 30 at 10:00 AM, with Chief Guest Dr. V. Thirumurugan ,Associate Director Campus Life ,SRM IST and Guest of Honor Dr. R. Mohanakrishnan,Director Sports ,SRM IST .
