Project Empow[HER] is a special project that emerged in the 2021-22 school year from ArtSparks’ desire to target young girls (5th to 7th Std.) in particular, providing them with a platform for representation, using art as an expressive tool to inspire dialogue, facilitate reflections, strengthen identity formation, build group cooperation and cohesion, all in an effort to catalyze change.

As we end the second phase of Project Empow[HER], we invite you to join us for the exhibition reception to meet the girls from the 6 schools that have participated in this 2022-23 school year. And to be enthralled by the large-scale cloth tapestries that the girls have worked on. Your presence with your family and friends to help celebrate the girls' efforts can go a long way in boosting their confidence. Details of the exhibition reception are included

ArtSparks Foundation has caught the attention of many. This past year we hosted team members and leaders from several NGOs from across India who visited our Labs to catch a glimpse of our work in action, better understand our processes, and gather best practices to impact work within their own respective organizations. Furthermore, our Labs were buzzing with visits from educational officials—from CRP’s to BEO’s—all noting the impact our program has on the children attending the schools where we are present. Publicity from Prajavani, the leading newspaper in the State of Karnataka, with a readership of over 2 million, helped spread the message of our work. All of this has enabled us to enter into a multi-year partnership agreement with Samagra Shikshana Karnataka—the integrated scheme of school education that addresses the issues of equity and quality of teaching‐learning in government schools—that welcomes our interventions, and encourages us to work with more schools, to impact more children.
