Special TNSTC Buses for Weekend Travelers
With heavy passenger traffic expected during the upcoming weekend, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced plans to operate several special buses along with its regular services from March 13 to March 15, 2026
On Friday, March 13, a total of 310 buses will depart from Kilambakkam bus terminus to various destinations across the state. These include popular towns and cities such as Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, and Nagercoil.
TNSTC officials said that the additional buses have been arranged to help reduce congestion and ensure comfortable travel for passengers. These buses are expected to cater to people traveling for tourism, family visits, and other personal reasons during the weekend.
Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance, as the special buses are likely to fill up quickly. The transport corporation has also asked travelers to arrive early at the bus terminus to avoid last-minute rush.
Officials further stated that these measures are part of TNSTC’s ongoing efforts to improve services and provide smooth travel during peak travel periods. Regular bus services will continue to operate alongside these special buses, covering other important routes across the state.
