Security forces intensify anti-terror operations in Kashmir, militants houses demolished

Security agencies have stepped up operations across Kashmir following the killing of a police head constable in a terrorist attack in Anantnag.

During overnight operations, two houses linked to families of suspected militants were demolished. Officials said the action formed part of a broader counter-terror campaign aimed at disrupting networks that support militant activities.

Authorities stated that thousands of individuals suspected of acting as overground workers or providing logistical support have been detained for questioning across multiple districts. Police described the operations as intelligence-based and conducted within the framework of the law.

Officials also said that recruitment of local youth into militant groups has fallen significantly in recent years, although security agencies continue to monitor the remaining militant network and cross-border infiltration.
