Where Jazz Meets Oktoberfest: Jazztober Fest 2026 Announces Ten Days of Music, Food and Celebration at Hyatt Regency Chennai

Chennai, 2026: This September, Chennai gets a new soundtrack. Jazztober Fest 2026 will take over Hyatt Regency Chennai from 18 to 27 September, inviting guests to move from intimate jazz evenings to lively Oktoberfest-inspired celebrations, gourmet dining and late-night after-parties.

The ten-day festival begins on 18 September with an electro-jazz performance by Rajni Shivaram & Eric Gerald. On 19 September, Circle of Love joins the program for a jazz-led Saturday night collaboration, while 20 September brings a jazz karaoke with Nami.

The festival’s food, beer and bar experiences will take center stage from 21 to 24 September, with German-inspired platters, beer pairings and special bar activations. Guests can enjoy complimentary bar munchies such as caramelized beer nuts, spiced pretzels and fried olives with garlic dip, alongside sharing platters created for the occasion.

The vegetarian sharing platter features barbequed Sticky Vegan Ribs, Mushroom ForestierPie, Cajun-Rubbed Vegetable Brochettes, Flammkuchen, Roasted Potatoes, a German soft pretzel and sauerkraut. The non-vegetarian Bavarian Sausage Board includes chicken and pork sausages, beer-glazed chicken wings and classic mustard accompaniments.

From 25 to 27 September, the festival culminates in the J4JAZZ Weekender at The Lobby Lounge. The lineup includes Around the World, Radha Thomas Quartet, Shanks & Lauren, Inga, Purple Mints and Skip. Once the performances end, the evening continues with after-parties at 365 A.S. Bar.

The festival’s cocktail menu adds a playful jazz twist to the experience, with creations such as Tamarind Jazz, Melody Mist, Jazz Zombie, Cool Cat Picante and Bourbon Groove.

Packages for the Weekender begin at INR 5,000++ per person and include live music, heavy appetizers and tapas, unlimited drinks during the event window and dinner at Spice Haat. Guests seeking a more indulgent evening can opt for the INR 10,000++ package, which includes premium alcohol and a choice of dinner at Focaccia or Stix.
